When I was a teenager I thought it was great fun to sit around smoking pot and reading through a slang dictionary I had randomly picked up at Walden Books. That book got a lot of mileage. Since discovering this fancy-smancy thing called the Internet, which has websites like
urbandictionary.com, I have found the same low level humor in a slightly different package. God bless the Internet.

Derived from the words "malaria" and "hilarious". Something grim yet hilariously funny; pertaining to a bizzaro, madcap humor, but also something dark or evil. Mostly used in a positive fashion.
For example: That scene in
Dead Alive where a zombie horde gets reduced to a heap of bloody bacon bits by a lawnmower was
malarious!
